Get to know me

Colour has always been prevalent in my life with careers rooted in promoting my passion of colour and design.

I graduated from University with a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art Painting. My enthusiasm for colour and design has subsequently led me to complete courses in Colour Theory, the Psychology of Colour and Colour Therapy. This has led to my better understanding of the positive use of colour.

All this knowledge and expertise of Colour has led me to the role of full time Colour Consultant in our Dundalk store. With this skill set, I can help transform your colour needs in the comfort of your own home. With every home or instore consultation, I will work to enhance, define and create a unique colour scheme suited to my client’s needs.

Personal Project

The Green Cave

Transforming my own bedroom was a very personal project – I wanted to be able to cocoon, rest and to recoup in. I used Olive No. 72 from Little Greene to bring the feel of nature inside, a rich deep green on walls and ceilings. I complimented this with wooden furniture, floral velvet curtains and by introducing a mixture of house plants. It’s lovingly referred by my family as The Green Cave!

Local Projects

The Facades Project

In Dundalk which is my hometown, I’ve been involved with The Facades Project since 2022, where we use colour to transform the townscape. In conjunction with Dundalk BIDS (Business Improvement District Scheme), I’ve selected colours for over 30 buildings with more being considered for this year. Colour has enhanced the beautiful architectural details of many of the buildings breathing new life into them.

Connell & Co., The Oldest Retail Store in Dundalk

With a retail life spanning over 150 years, when Connell & Co. was selected, we needed to treat the building with extra respect as it had never been painted. With its gold embossed signs being historically restored, I choose a deep golden tone for the walls to emphasise the richness of the building.

This vibrant blue Smalt No. 255 is paired with the gentle grey Shallows No. 223 from Little Greene. The sharp contrast between them makes a vibrant statement. With the addition of the Camillia wallpaper also in Smalt, this brings added luxury to the space where all colours sit harmoniously.

Fallow Deer from Curator brings to life the present trend of ‘Luxury Neutral’ to any project. This tone brings an inviting rich warmth without being an obvious traditional colour, with its earthy undertone. It can easily be paired with vibrant colours but also paired with muted tones depending on your space and personality.

I adore the colour mix of pink tones paired with a green, which is used expertly in this kitchen from Farrow & Ball. The strong tone of Duck Green no.W55 is softened by the introduction of Pink Ground no202.

Brickstock from Colourtrend brings a warm, rich and earthy feeling to any space, particularly a bedroom. The introduction of pops of green and plants adds to the inviting feel of the relaxation.
